In an earlier post, I shared that one of my goals this year is to maintain a more sustainable wardrobe. Since graduating from college, I have been making small choices to become more conscious. However, it is an ever-growing journey that I am always looking to improve. So when it came to enjoying a few new pieces this season, I made sure each purchase was thoughtfully researched before sharing it with you. I hope you enjoy this light read of my favorite neutral styles for spring.

PUFF SLEEVE EYELET TOP
Take a look at my wardrobe, and you will know that eyelet is one of my favorite fabrics for spring/summer. It is breezy, and the extra embroidered detail just makes any piece look feminine and fancy. When I spotted this English Factory top online, I knew it was the one. I will be honest, I thought the puff sleeves were a little too dramatic for me at first. However, after a few more wears and assurance from my girlfriends, I am definitely warming up to the look.

NEUTRAL STYLES FOR SPRING: ALLBIRDS TREE BREEZERS FLATS
Okay, I am in love with these flats. I won’t go into too much details just yet because I plan to share a more detailed review soon. In the meantime, just know that these are the first ever flats that I did not have to break into. They were comfortable from the first day!
Choosing the color was definitely hard because they all looked lovely. However, I ended up going with ‘Salt (Grey Sole)‘ and bought a size 8 (my usual size). If you are in between two sizes, go with the larger one as they run just a little small according to reviews. Also linking my pair below for convenience. The first color is the pair I went with, but as you can see, there are too many gorgeous shades of grey to choose from. The differences are subtle, but it definitely comes down to how ‘warm’ and dark a shade you are looking for. Overall, I find all of these to be pretty options.
CUYANA: LEATHER CROSSBODY CAMERA BAG
Cuyana’s mission is to encourage others to buy less, buy better. After buying a few crossbody bags in the past that were too small to carry all my essentials, I decided it was time to invest in a high-quality piece that I know will last. When the stone color came back in stock, I bought it immediately.
Since Cuyana tries not to overproduce, these styles go in and out of stock often. Tip: Join their waitlist! You will get notified quickly when the item is available again. I was surprised to hear back within a few days.
What makes this bag so lovely: the straps are adjustable, and I love that there is enough depth to fit a wallet, sunglasses, keys, and maybe a few other small items. The leather has a pebbled texture, and feels semi-soft. Definitely a good alternative to the Gucci Disco bag if you are looking for a budget option.
THE PERFECT SPRING TRANSITIONAL OUTERWEAR
I’ve shared about my new favorite outerwear brand last winter, so was super excited when Bernardo reached out for me to be a part of their Spring International Women’s Day campaign! They generously gifted this piece to me, and it has easily become one of my most worn transitional outerwear for Spring. Super lightweight, and warm enough to carry me through the chillier days.
Both the fabric and insulation are made from recycled materials, and this jacket also comes with a cute matching tote! (not worn here) This style comes in three sleek colors, which I share below.
MY FAVORITE NEUTRAL STYLES FOR SPRING
These are the few neutral styles for spring that I recently invested in. Not all of these brands are ‘sustainable.’ However, I do love the quality of my English Factory top. Given how well it fits my personal style, I know it is one I will wear for a while. Meanwhile, Cuyana, Allbirds, and Bernardo are conscious brands whose quality I also trust.
As I always encourage others to do their research too, one resource I recommend checking out is Good On You. Specifically, you can search for a brand of interest on their site, and read their rating based on impact to planet, people, and animals.
