My personal style has evolved over the years, but I would safely classify it with three words: feminine, classy, and structured. I prefer tailored over slouchy, and classic over edgy. When it comes to selecting blouses (which I only buy once/twice a year), I pick ones that are true to my personal style. It’s not always an easy task, so I was delighted by the selection of feminine styled blouses from Express this fall!
Here are some of my feminine favorites, organized by (roughly) similar styles and fabrics. The best part is that almost all of these tops are on sale, so get them while they last! And let me know in the comments which ones are your favorite.
BLOUSE STYLE #1: BALLOON SLEEVE

Statement sleeves are a big deal this season. Puff shoulders, and balloon sleeves are making their way into blouses and sweaters alike. When I saw this style, I loved how airy the sleeves were, but also that the bodice had a good structure to it. In addition, this balloon sleeve wrap top is available in a variety of colors that I loved. It was a hard choice, but I ended up going with ‘Soft Blush’ to diversify my colors a bit.
Express Metallic Clip Dot Pleated Balloon Sleeve Wrap Top: There is a little bit of metallic in this top, which I love. The blouse also has a sweetheart neckline, and pleated design in the bodice for a feminine touch. One thing I did not like as much is that the neckline hangs a bit low for me. However, the silhouette of this blouse is stunning and feels like a Rebecca Taylor dupe.
Also sharing the different styles and colors that this top comes in. (Honestly, I love them all and could have easily found myself buying this blouse in a different color)
BLOUSE STYLE #2: LACE
EXPRESS SCALLOPED HEM LACE TOP
A few weeks ago, I snagged this gorgeous top for only $25, which is an amazing deal. I love the scalloped hem and detailed neckline. However, my favorite part is that they actually use corded lace at such a great price point. In short, corded lace is when the outline of the pattern is raised to create a three-dimensional appearance. It gives the fabric a much more expensive look compared to ‘flat’ lace, which is thin, netted, and snags easily.
I don’t own any cream colored blouses, and found this one particularly elegant. However, it was another tough choice because they have a few other classy colors I recommend.
This blouse does have a light polyester lining, but it feels very thin. Definitely don’t expect to feel warm in this blouse, but if you have an upcoming holiday function, I’m sure you will get compliments on this look. Reading the reviews, I saw that some ladies did not like how boxy this top is. I also agree, and wish it were an inch longer.
Here are some other feminine styled blouses from Express I found with corded lace. I trust that the fabric is similar since they give some pretty detailed shots of the material.
OTHER FEMININE STYLED TOPS FROM EXPRESS I LOVED
I’ve bought some great (and not so great) pieces from Express in the past, but would love to hear your thoughts on the brand! Are there any pieces you were impressed by this season? For me, I am loving their plethora of more feminine styles.
If you haven’t read the post yet, I also shared an earlier story on my purchase from Upwest, a sister brand of Express focused on wellness. Thanks for stopping by!
