Darling Magazine’s New Clothing Line Review: Fave Fall Picks

As a creator, I love to support mission-driven brands whose values align with mine. One brand that recently came onto my radar is Darling. In 2012, Darling Magazine started out as a media outlet focused on female empowerment, and one of the first publications to feature real and un-retouched women. Fast forward to 2023, and Darling has now launched its own clothing capsule! These clothes are an extension of the brand’s commitment to help women cultivate confidence. Even though our personal styles may be different, I do believe there are quality pieces in here for everyone. In this post, I’ll share my favorite picks from latest Darling Magazine’s clothing line.

Darling Magazine Clothing Capsule Review

The Darling capsule is focused on timeless and chic pieces that are also long-lasting. As such, I love the thoughtful fabric choices the brand has made. The brand is also transparent about their production practices, and discloses details about their supply chain partners here.

Darling Dew Slouch Cardigan

I’ve received so many compliments about how soft this piece is! The fabric is thick and warm, and the softness has held up after the wash. I sized up to a S, to give more room for layering. This cardigan feels just a touch longer than ‘cropped,’ but looks good without needing to be tucked in. Silhouette is slightly boxy, and slouchy.

I paired this cardigan with my ankle crop jeans, and heeled boots for a leg-lengthening look.

Darling Daydream Blouse

This feminine blouse is made with 100% Tencel for a fully breathable, and silk-like touch. I find that the rouleau button loops are such a dainty detail along the neckline. As the notes say, I do find that this blouse runs big. Because the silhouette is quite flowy and oversized, I would size down. I am wearing an XS here, and still found there to be plenty of fabric to tuck in.

Other Notes: Tencel wrinkles easily, so be prepared to do some steaming on this piece. If you can get past that, I would say this blouse is quite a beautiful staple!

Darling Sterling Sweater Pant

It wouldn’t be a full Darling Magazine clothing review without covering bottoms! This cozy pull-on pant has pin-tuck details in the front, and a subtle wide leg. I can easily dress these pants up or down, but styled it with my Daydream blouse in this photo. Here, I am wearing an XS, and the pants feel snug at my waist and fitted through the hips.

I could see myself sizing up to a S, but it depends on if you want a more relaxed versus fitted look! I wore these pants with my dressier flat-pumps (reviewed here – I own them in black too).

Other Notes: I’ve worn these pants out on chillier fall days, and they feel much warmer than my usual leggings. So if you’re looking for comfort and style, these pants do the trick.
