Quince EcoVero Blend Sweater Dresses: Comparison Review

Quince has become a popular go-to for affordable luxury staples. Though not every piece has fit my perfectionistic quality criteria, I’ve really enjoyed some of their sweater dresses. In this post, I will be doing a quick review of two Quince sweater dresses that deserve a spot in your cold-weather rotation. It’s funny because one of the first blog posts I’ve written on Quince was reviewing their cashmere sweater dress (review). If you’re looking for a piece that requires less maintenance, then their ‘EcoVero‘ pieces are a great alternative.

What is Ecovero?

EcoVero is a sustainable and eco-friendly version of viscose that uses a responsible manufacturing process. The wood used comes from certified, sustainably managed forests, and the production itself uses a “closed-loop” system that recycles nearly all the water and chemicals. This results in the final fiber generating up to 50% less emissions and water pollution compared to generic viscose, offering a way to get that comfortable, drapey fabric with a much lower impact on the environment.

Quince Sweater Dresses Comparison Review

The two styles I review in this sweater dress review are: Cotton Cashmere Ribbed Long Sleeve Crew Midi Dress, and Eco-Knit Ribbed Mock Neck Sweater Dress. The differences mainly come down to fabric and fit, but both are elegant options for your next Thanksgiving get-together.

Cotton Cashmere Ribbed Long Sleeve Crew Midi Dress

This dress is all about easy elegance, and comfort. Even though this sweater dress is labeled as ‘Cotton Cashmere,’ it is actually a complex fabric blend: 65% organic cotton, 32% ecovero viscose, 3% cashmere. The small amount of cashmere makes a huge difference in the softness of the fabric, while still allowing it to be machine washable.

Design & Fit: The crew neck offers a classic, modest neckline. This dress also has an adjustable tie at the back of the waist, which creates a nice cinched look. This waist tie is stitched in, so you don’t need to worry about losing it! Additionally, the wide rib detail gives the fabric a considerable amount of stretch, without feeling too fitted. I am wearing a size S below.

Shoe Pairings: Looks great with a pair of sleek glove boots, Mary Jane flats (if it’s warmer where you are), or tall boots with a fitted shaft.

Eco-Knit Ribbed Mock Neck Sweater Dress

If you’re looking for a more figure-flattering, statement piece with a sustainable edge, this Eco-Knit sweater dress is your match. Unlike the cotton cashmere dress, this version is made with 43% Lenzing Ecovero™, 35% nylon, 22% polyester, where the knit feels slightly more compressive.

Design & Fit: This form-fitting dress features a sophisticated mock neck. The thigh-high slit adds a modern, sexy detail that elevates it from a simple sweater dress to an evening-ready outfit. I still think this dress can work in the office when paired with knee-high or tall boots, but it can also be easily transformed into a date-night look. I am wearing a size S.

Quince Sweater Dresses: Which Style is Right for You?

If you prefer cozy versatility and comfort, the Cotton Cashmere Ribbed Long Sleeve Crew Midi Dress makes a great choice for all-day, everyday-wear. If you prefer a sleek and modern silhouette, the Eco-Knit Ribbed Mock Neck Sweater Dress offers a thicker, stretchy knit, bold mock neck/slit combination, and body-con look that is perfect for dressing up.
